How to Get Your Little Ones to Floss

Getting yourself as an adult to floss your teeth both morning and night can sometimes feel like you’re setting yourself up to fail. But getting your little ones to floss their teeth can seem like a whole different hurdle. Get Flossers

One of the hardest parts of dental care for kids is getting them to learn how to use dental floss; that’s where dental flossers come into play. Dental flossers are designed with kids in mind and are pre-wrapped pieces of dental floss that they can weave in and out of their teeth without having to deal with the hassle of traditional dental floss.

Use a Chart

Sticker charts are a good idea for a variety of things including tooth brushing, chores, reading, and you guessed it, flossing. Every time your little one flosses their teeth let them put a sticker on a chart. Once they fill the chart up, they get a reward like a movie date or a toy from the dollar store.

Do It Together

One of the best ways to teach your kids to do things is by example. If your kids see you flossing, they are more likely to take an interest in it themselves. If you are having a hard time getting your kids to floss, suggest that you floss together.

Getting your kids to do just about anything can seem like more of a chore for you than for them. If you have had a hard time getting your kids excited about flossing, you are not alone.
