The development of dental implants has altered the way that we go about tooth replacement. Using this restorative technique, Dr. Holbrook helps patients regain nearly 100 percent of their natural chewing function. Dental implants are used to replace the root structure that tethers teeth to the jawbone. These small titanium posts hold lifelike dental crowns, bridges, or dentures, providing the highest possible degree of stability and authentic appearance. Over the course of a few months and a handful of appointments at our comfortable office, patients who want to replace damaged or missing teeth or who want to improve the fit and feel of their dentures can experience outstanding care. Dr. Holbrook develops each dental implant case based on the patient’s needs and preferences. Here, we can replace a single tooth or an entire arch using processes that are personalized to each patient. Examples of dental implant treatment options include All-On-4 implant-supported dentures, mini implants, same-day implants, and more.

Routine dental exams and cleanings are designed to act as preventative measures against tooth decay and gum disease. Our friendly clinical staff offers comfortable care in a professional environment that fosters awareness of one’s risks to their long-term oral health and of the strategies they can implement to protect it. Oral health goes beyond a nice-looking smile and fresh breath. The health of your teeth and gums is an indication of your overall health, too. Multiple studies have confirmed a link between oral health problems and general health problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s disease. When you maintain twice-a-year visits with your dentist and hygienist, you’re not only preserving your teeth and gums, you are also supporting lifelong health and wellness.

Periodontal disease is a prevalent problem across all adult age groups. Studies suggest that 4 out of 5 people have some degree of gum disease, and most who do are unaware of the problem that could degrade their health. If there is anything good we can say about periodontal disease it’s that the condition can be treated. If treated early enough, before infection settles below the gum line, we may have a good chance at reversing inflammation. Our experienced team performs all levels of periodontal treatment, from preventative cleanings to scaling and root planing. The objective of every periodontal treatment is to address the degree of inflammation and infection that are present at that time. This may involve removing plaque or calculus that has accumulated in between visits. During appointments for periodontal treatment, our team performs necessary procedures and also educates patients regarding the home care that may decrease the accumulation of harmful biofilm going forward.

Restorative dental care helps you get back to a state of comfort after experiencing a dental problem. The majority of restorative procedures are performed to repair teeth that have been damaged by decay. Cavities are the leading preventable cause of tooth pain. If not treated promptly, decay spreads across the tooth and, more often, inward. Once the tough outer layer of enamel has been compromised, it is easy for bacteria to move through the soft layer of dentin toward the central chamber of the tooth. Because decay can spread more quickly once it enters the layer of dentin, we want to perform restorative treatment at the very first sign of a cavity. The sooner that restorative care can be performed, the less likely it is that the problem will require more complex treatment to repair the tooth. If you experience tooth decay that requires repair, our team will do whatever we can to make you comfortable as quickly as possible. All of our dental procedures are performed using a local anesthetic to numb the area. We can also administer sedation to ease feelings of anxiety related to dental care.
