How to Get a Smile That Would Even Make Santa Himself Feel Jealous

Veneers Albuquerque NMIf you have a smile that you aren’t exactly proud of, then why wait any longer to fix it? Here at Dr. Steven Holbrook’s office, we offer patients a variety of different cosmetic dental procedures to help you get the smile that you’ve always wanted. Rather than asking Santa for the same old thing again this year, why not ask for the smile you’ve been wanting? Let’s take a closer look at a few ways that you can get a new smile that would even make Santa jealous.

Veneers

Porcelain veneers can kind of be compared to one stop shopping. By sanding down your existing teeth and then placing thin porcelain veneers over the top, we can help correct a variety of issues including crooked teeth, chipped teeth, stained teeth, small teeth, or teeth that you simply aren’t too fond of. During your initial veneers consult, we will take a closer look at the different sizes, shapes. and colors of veneers that we have to help you land on the ones that will give you the best possible smile.

Whitening

If you feel like you have a hard time saying “cheese” because of the color of your teeth, then you may want to consider getting your teeth professionally whitened. Here at our office. we use a take-home whitening system called Opalescence which uses a combination of bleach and customized whitening trays to help patients, like you, achieve the smile that you’ve been wanting.

Invisalign

Whether you have had braces in the past and it didn’t work or if you have never had any sort of straightening done on your smile, then you may want to consider Invisalign. The great thing about Invisalign is that instead of a mouth full of metal brackets and wires, it uses clear aligner trays to help patients achieve a straight smile. Skip feeling sorry about your smile and get one that would have Santa and all of his reindeer feeling a little bit jealous. How to Get the Chip Off Your Shoulder: What to Do If You Chip a Veneer

Veneers Albuquerque NMVeneers can be used for a variety of cosmetic reasons including giving you a straighter, whiter, healthier looking smile. And although veneers can withstand a lot, they can still chip sometimes; especially if you’re really hard on them. So, what should you do if you chip your veneer? Let’s take a closer look at a few tips.

Call Our Office

The first thing you should do when you chip your veneer is to call our office to schedule an appointment. The sooner we can get you in and get it fixed, the better off you will be. And because a chipped veneer is a pretty urgent situation, we will do our best to get you in as soon as possible.

See If The Veneer Is Still Intact

Next, look at your veneer and see if it is in fact just a small chip or if it looks like the whole veneer will need to be replaced. Oftentimes, if there is just a tiny chip at the bottom, Dr. Steven Holbrook will be able to add onto it to repair it. If, however, the rack is too severe to be repaired, then he may have to replace the entire thing.

Save Pieces

If you can, try to save the small piece that chipped off from your tooth; this will help Dr. Steven Holbrook with the repair and to take a closer look to see exactly how you got the chip in the first place to help prevent it from happening again later on down the line.

Having a chipped veneer can really make you have a chip on your shoulder but Dr. Holbrook can either repair or replace it in no time. Are you ready to learn more about dental veneers and how they can be repaired? Schedule a consultation at our Albuquerque office today and contact us online or call us at (505) 881-1159.

Perfect For Spring – Porcelain Veneers

veneers in Albuquerque NM | Dr. Steven Holbrook Your smile is your confidence booster. It’s how you tell the world that you are happy, secure and friendly. But if you are dealing with stained, dark or misaligned teeth, chances are you aren’t smiling much. But don’t fret…Dr. Holbrook offers the latest in porcelain veneers – the flawless, permanent way for you to get your smile back.

Veneers typically take two appointments.

  • At the first appointment, we will take x-rays of your teeth and examine them carefully to ensure that you are a good candidate for veneers.
  • Then the surfaces of your teeth will be prepared; some of the surface will be removed. This is minimally invasive but a local anesthetic may be used to ensure your comfort. Impressions of your moth will be taken and you will be fitted with temporary veneers while your permanent veneers are being made.
  • Approximately a week to ten days following your first visit, the veneers will be permanently cemented to the prepared tooth surfaces. At this time, we will check to make sure the size and color are correct; any minor changes can be made at this time.

If you are considering veneers, ask yourself these questions:
•Are you unhappy with the color of your teeth because of stains, root canal treatments or age? Bright, white porcelain veneers can cover your dark teeth.
•Are you unhappy with the shape of your teeth, or have unsightly chips or cracks? Veneers can alter the shape of and cover chipped teeth, making them aesthetically pleasing.
•Do you have gaps between your teeth and have considered orthodontia as a solution? Veneers can close spaces and gaps in your teeth quicker than it can take with orthodontics.

Veneers are long-lasting and natural looking. They are also strong, stain-resistant and are a great alternative to crowns. Veneers offer the perfect, permanent solution if you are unhappy with the appearance of your teeth.
