Dental Implant Alternatives
Here at Dr. Steven Holbrook’s office, we know that when it comes to things like dental implants that there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all method which is why we offer patients three different types of implants.
All-On-4 Implants
These implants offer a different approach to fixed, replacement teeth than many patients are used to. But how? By placing the implants in available bone, All-on-4 implants eliminate the need for bone grafting. Plus, with special abutments, we will be able to set temporary replacement teeth the same day of your appointment while your gum tissues heal and your implants integrate with your natural bone. After about six months of healing, your final teeth will then be set.
Same Day Implants
The only real complaint that people have about dental implants is that they take so long to heal. With same day implants, we take out the waiting time and give you your implants in one day. How? We will place a temporary crown over your implant until it has had time to heal. Once your natural bone and implant are secure enough to support a temporary tooth, we will set it.
Mini Implants
These implants, like their name suggests, are small implants that are placed using a less-invasive technique. Mini implants measure at less than three millimeters whereas standard implants measure larger at around 3.25-3.5 millimeters. Because the implants are smaller, we don’t have to make as large of an incision which makes recovery and healing a whole lot faster and easier.
